As the Founder and Pastor of this church, looking 22 years back and recalling our humble beginnings, I cast down all crowns and dethrone self to proclaim: “It is not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of the Lord.” For all that we see, hear, and experience today is the Almighty’s decree fulfilled in us.
As a normal man eager to start a simple career, I headed to the Middle East to accept any job offered — my one goal was to earn some 'fuloos' (money in Arabic) and return home. To a human who never in his wildest imagination expected or qualified for the Father's work on earth, came a call from the Lord. I tried to negotiate with the Almighty, convinced it wasn't me. But when the Lord spoke repeatedly through dreams and His prophets, I bowed in acceptance — and along with the word 'Go,' His strength, grace, mercy and provisions followed.
It is not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of the Lord.
At my first steps into His work, the Lord confirmed His call through dreams I had recalled from my school days — a scene of our Lord carrying the cross via Dolorosa. As a child, I was deeply moved by His pain and ran ahead to remove stones from His path, preparing the way for Him to fulfill His divine purpose on Mount Calvary. How awesome it is to know that we are now called to prepare His Church for the fulfillment of His promise of His second coming.
VWI was birthed in a small room with 5–10 people in the Trinity Compound, Dubai, in 2004. The Lord enlarged our borders and added to His church His predestined people. Having completed 22 years by His grace, we breathe and live on His promises — to be fruitful and multiply. It was grace that saved us, grace that keeps us, and grace by which we walk forward.
