The Assemblies of God is one of the largest Pentecostal fellowships in the world, made up of over 600 churches across Great Britain and tens of millions of believers globally. We believe that every person can and should have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and belong to a local, vibrant church family.

What We Believe

The One True and Living God
We believe in the unity of the One True and Living God, the Eternal, Self-Existent 'I AM', revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The Life of Jesus
We believe in the Virgin Birth, sinless life, miraculous ministry, substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, triumphant ascension and personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Fall of Man
Man was created pure and upright but fell by voluntary transgression, bringing separation from God upon the whole human race.
Salvation through Faith
Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ, who died for our sins, was buried and rose again — through His blood we have redemption.
The New Birth
To become a child of God one must be born again through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Water Baptism
Believers are baptised by immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as a public declaration of their faith.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as a distinct experience subsequent to conversion, empowering believers for life and service.
Gifts and Fruit of the Spirit
The gifts of the Spirit are for the edification of the Church, and the fruit of the Spirit is the mark of a life yielded to Christ.
The Church
The Church is the Body of Christ — a spiritual organism made up of all born-again believers, called to worship, fellowship and mission.
Ministry and Ordinances
A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry serves the Church, together with the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
Second Coming & Final Judgment
We believe in the personal, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the final judgment of all people.
